Tis the Season!

Like everyone, we have been extremely busy in the month of December. I LOVE this time of year and so do my babies! I posted quite a few pictures of the past few weeks in December. We just had Hudson's Pirate themed Christmas party at Legacy. It was so much fun for the kids! They got to do several different activities: decorated cookies, made reindeer food, painted ornaments with their hand prints, and they had a visit from the Legacy Bear who brought each child their own personalized letter. Mrs. Ward sent a survey home with each parent a few weeks ago & they used this to generate a letter from one of Santa's Elves. This made Hudson's day!!! It also made Avery's too, because it said that she was on the "nice list". We also had Avery Claire's Christmas program & party at her school. She sang her little heart out! So cute. We did the Polar Express Train ride for the 3rd year in a row. I have a feeling we will take them every year until they tell us that they do not want to go! They were very excited to go this year, because their Nana & Pepere (Daniel's parents) got to come with us. Hudson was a little disappointed that he didn't get to tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas on this trip, but we went to see Santa today & Hudson told him a list! Lol. I didn't think he was ever going to let Avery talk. Daniel and I also got to go to our Sunday School class Tacky Christmas Sweater party while Daniel's parents watched the kids. We really never go on dates without our kids, so we had a great time- even if we were only gone for a little while. Daniel shopped for our shirts & bought some that said "Snow in Love". Ha! I also posted a picture of Sweet Annabelle at her 4th Birthday party. It was a circus theme party & was precious! Sorry for the long post, but I am having trouble putting captions under my pictures, so I was trying to cover everything in my post. I hope you are all having a wonderful December so far! We have a lot planned this week to prepare for Jesus Birthday party this next weekend!!! My mom did a great job when we were growing up to make sure that gifts didn't over shadow the REAL reason for the season. Don't get me wrong- we still got way too much stuff, but she always made sure that we got it! I remember one Christmas that fell on a Sunday- none of us kids wanted to go to church because we wanted to stay home & play with our toys. She threw us in the car & took us to church. I hope & pray that we are doing the same for our kids and YES-we will be in church this coming Sunday on Christmas Day... God willing!!!
