Growing up...

Here is another back to school post.  Avery Claire started Providence this week & is really loving it!  She loves her music class & the fact that they sing alot.  This is a classical academy & they seem to do a ton of learning with songs.  This is right up her ally!  Hudson would rather die than sing.  Our kids are night & day with their personalities!  She also loves the fact that the nap time at this school is only 45 minutes to a hour.  She does not nap & she had to lay there for two hours at First Bossier.  She has 2 kids in her class that were at First Bossier with her & three kids across the hall in the other Bridge class that she knows well.  I am so thankful for this!  She is not totally thrilled yet with the uniforms, but she will get used to it.  I also posted some pictures of Hudson last Sunday at church.  Our church does a Bible Presentation for the 1st graders each year.  He also gets to move up to Children's Church on Wednesday nights & Sunday mornings.   He went last Wednesday & LOVED it.  So thankful for such a wonderful church to raise our babies in!!!

Back to School

It's already that time!  I can't say I am thrilled to start the school year & have two kids at different schools, but I am ready to get back on a good routine again.  We are all looking forward to fall soccer with both kids and Avery Claire's dance started last week!  God has blessed us with 2 wonderful teachers at Legacy so far. Hudson has Mrs. Machen for first grade, who is precious!  Hudson thinks she is the most beautiful girl in the world.  Lol.  He also has 3 really good friends in his class from last year.  He keeps talking about his new friend that he made in his class named Hunter.  He seems HAPPY & that's all that matters to mom.  The first day of school when I got him in the car line, the first thing he said was "Mom, I sure wish we could take naps in 1st grade.... It's ALOT of work!"  Avery got to meet her teachers, Mrs. Holmes & Mrs. Curry, this week at Providence.  Our hope is that this prepares Avery Claire for Kindergarten next year.  Daniel also celebrated his 35th birthday this week!  Man...  birthdays sure do get downgraded the older we get.  Ha!  We had a great dinner from Superior & Buttercups cupcakes so he was happy.  We are both pretty easy to please.  I also posted a picture of our marketing team that I am apart of.  I LOVE these people!!!  We have a great little support system with each other, not only professionally but personally as well.  One of our team members is leaving us after being with Thompson for 9 years, because she is getting married to her dream man & moving to Hawaii.  Can't blame her!  Most of my best friends & family know that I would KILL to be a stay at home mom, but since I can't....  I am so thankful to work with this group of people!!!

1st day of 1st Grade at Legacy!

Last Summer Get-A-Way

Daniel & I decided to take a low key vacation to Galveston before school starts.  It was just nice being off 7 days in a row & only driving 5 hours in the car!  We had never been to Galveston before & decided we would try it.  Daniel & I had the best time eating at all the yummy Seafood & Mexican places there & sleeping late. It's the simple things!  Lol.   The kids LOVED the Moody Garden's Aquarium, Rainforest, Schlitterbahn waterpark, crabbing, putt putt & Pleasure Pier.  There is a ton of stuff to do there locally for the kids!  We heard before we decided to go there that the water wasn't beautiful.  That was very true, but the kids could care less...  Here are a few pictures from our trip!

Funny Avery Story

Last night instead of reading our nightly bible story to the kids, Daniel did a bible quiz or triva to them asking them questions about the bible.  I was so proud of Hudson because he was getting all of them correct!  Avery had a little more trouble thinking of the answers to the questions that Daniel asked her.  We were trying to think of easy questions to ask her, so she could get some right.  Daniel asked both kids what is the only way to get into heaven.  Avery started screaming "I know, I know!"  Then she shouted "Be dead, be dead, be dead!!!"  LOL.  She was so proud of herself & all we could do was laugh.  Poor thing!  Daniel & I just got a kick out of that & had to share.  We are heading out to the beach in just a few minutes.  The kids are super excited!!!  Praying for some rain free days there.

Red, White & Blue

Here are a few pictures from our first Ranger game last weekend in Dallas.  It was pretty hot the first hour, but was perfect in the shade after that.  It was a good little weekend away!  We took the kids to Dave & Busters to eat and play games.  We also did the tour of Ranger Stadium on Sunday.  Hudson ate up every second of it!!!  He has watched the games with his Daddy all season.  I think he knows more than I do now about baseball.  Avery Claire's most favorite part of the game was probably the air conditioned playground at the stadium!  Lol.   I also posted a few pictures of our sweet kids at the Cypress Freedom Celebration. We are so thankful for our church family!   We had a fun 4th of July this year grilling, eating Ice Cream at Cold Stone & the movie Brave at the Boardwalk.

Soccer & Princesses!!!

Hudson attended a five day British Soccer Camp last week in Bossier.  This is going to be his sport.  He loves it!  He did awesome & learned a ton.  I also posted pictures from Maci's Princess birthday party that Avery Claire went to today.  PRECIOUS doesn't even begin to explain it!  Storytime with Belle, Cinderella & the Fairy Godmother, make-up, face paint, tea party, magic glitter to turn them into princesses & a sleeping stone for them to put under their pillow.  Over the top... YES, but Avery Claire LOVED every second of it.  Lol.

Hudson & his friend, Sommer, at Cypress VBS

Avery Claire wasn't even going to VBS because she is too little, but she hopped on stage as soon as the program started.  So funny how different siblings can be.  We had to make Hudson get on stage.
