Brandi's Bridal Shower!!!

Daniel's sister, Brandi, is marrying the man of her dreams on May 28th. We are so excited for them! We couldn't have hand picked anyone better for Brandi. The Bridesmaids gave her a Surprise Bridal Shower last Saturday in LaPlace. It was a perfect day! She had a wonderful turnout & opened gifts for hours. We are all four in the wedding. This will be Hudson & Avery Claire's wedding debut, so I am praying that they don't tear the church in New Orleans down!!! Wanted to share some pictures.

Fun in Arkansas!!!

We spent last weekend in Arkansas at my mom's house. When we go to Arkansas, we always have a house full of kids! We had such a great weekend with all of my nieces and nephews. The boys got to go fishing with Daniel, Uncle Bo, & Uncle Tommy. I don't have any pictures to share of the fishing trip, because Daniel refused to take my camera. We played outside all weekend, ate ice cream, and went out to eat on Sunday night. I am so thankful for moments like these. Daniel & I both really hate that we don't have family living near us. We can't help but get a little jealous at the church, school, and sports activities that our children participate in & all of the family that are there to support our friend's kids. It is usually, just the four of us.... I know that is a choice we made when we decided to settle down in Benton, LA. We love it here & have no plans of going anywhere. I am so glad that our kids are super close to the kids in my family even though we don't live near them. Hudson & Avery LOVE all of their cousins so much!!! This year on Jan 1st, I starting keeping a log in my journal of the 365 things that I am thankful for in 2011. Needless to say, this weekend in Arkansas made that list!

So Long Bailey....

We are now a 4 person household. We found a home for our dog, Bailey, in ElDorado. Daniel drove her there today. Daniel & I got Bailey when she was 7 weeks old. Most of my friends and family know how attached I was to this dog BEFORE kids. After Hudson came along, he took all my attention & Bailey got none of it. Daniel still played with her when she made him. With our busy schedules with work, travel, and afternoon activities Bailey was always home alone. I know she will be better off with the lady who took her today. She doesn't work, so she will be home with her most of the day. We were all a little sad to see her go, but I really think this is for the best.

It's Official!

We closed on our lot today in Woodlake South II in Benton. I liked it better when we knew we were getting one & didn't have to start paying on it. We are excited, but scared about building a house. It involves a whole lot of decisions that we have to make... Hope Daniel & I can do it with out killing each other. The final plans are being drafted now!!!

Also, want to share a story about Hudson. I got a call last night from Coach Randy. He was Hudson's tball coach last year & is also going to coach their team this season, which starts in a few weeks. We love Randy, Kimberly, and their precious kids- Ava & Eason. Ava has been in Hudson's class since they were newborns. Randy called last night to tell me that Ava came home from school on Wednesday & said that she and Hudson were going to get married. She also told her Daddy that she & Hudson kissed on the lips on the playground at school. Needless to say, Daniel had a BIG talk with him last night!!! Never thought I would be hearing that my child was kissing at school when he was five or almost five....
