Flu Bug

I know I just started this blog at the New Year, but it seems like all I have been posting are things about my sick kids. Hopefully this will be the last one for a while. They called us to get Hudson from school on Friday because he was running a temp. We took him to the doctor on Friday morning & he was positive for the flu and had an ear infection. We have been quite stir crazy this weekend. We had to miss a friend's birthday party and church this morning. I hated to send Avery to either, just in case she could spread the flu germs around. As of now, she is still going strong. Praise the Lord!!!! I also have two other things that are on my heart this weekend. My Mama has to go for more tests on Wednesday of this week due to a chest x-ray that came back questionable. I would greatly appreciate you saying a prayer for her this week as we are all pretty nervous. I am also thinking about a special friend of mine, who needs prayer right now. I am so thankful for wonderful friends & an awesome family!!!
My poor little man! He has now had Chicken Pox at 9 months & Flu at
23 months, right when he turned 4 years, and almost 5 years old.

NO MORE PICTURES, MAMA!

Our happy girl! Avery has been very sweet this weekend. She has told me a
hundred times this weekend that I am the best Mommy in the whole world!!!
Lol. She can be super sweet when she wants to be.

Both kids were very sad to miss Sadie & Bennett's birthday party. Thanks
again Mrs. Katye & Mr. Ben for bringing us Superman Cookies & Cake!!!
Dinner of Champions: Pizza, chips, cheese dip, and a cupcake. Mom was tired!

Birthday Mode!

It is so funny how little kids talk about birthdays 24/7. Hudson has been talking about what kind of birthday party he was going to have this year since his last party. We have a birthday party for Avery coming up at the end of February and Hudson's is in April. Avery picked a ballerina party & Hudson has finally decided on Batman. Before I had kids, I remember making fun of people who went all out on their kid's birthdays. Yet again, I had to eat my words. I LOVE party planning! It is so much fun. Hudson and Avery are very excited about their birthdays. Tonight, I was telling them how we were going to Disney World in 3 weeks and they both got mad because they wanted their parties to come before our Disney trip. KIDS!!! I really can't believe that my baby boy is turning 5 and starting "big kid school" in the fall. Really think I am going to need medication to handle that one!

Disaster Area

How can one little girl do so much damage every time she enters a room??? Normally, Hudson and Avery help each other destroy their rooms. Avery was responsible for this all by herself. Got a kick out of this picture & wanted to share!

Snow Day!

Well, we didn't get quite as much snow as we would have liked, but it was enough to get outside and play for a little while. Poor Hud & Avery Claire looked at the window all day expecting there to be enough to make a snowman. It ended up being just enough snow to cover the swingsets. Lol! They had a great time throwing snow balls & running around in it. I am thrilled that they already announced that Bossier Schools will be closed tomorrow, which means daycare closed also!!! Trying to plan some inside activites for tomorrow. Glad the kids got to see snow in Louisiana for 2 years in a row!

FUN Friday!

As most of you know, I LIVE for my Fridays because I am at home with my babies! Today, not so much. Lol! Poor Hudson has been running a high temp since Thursday (102.5) and Avery has been running a low grade temp (100.5). Both kids have been quite crabby to say the least. We took both kids to the doctor this morning. Hudson has a very bad case of strep throat & Avery is in the beginning stages. Hudson has always done pretty well with shots, until today. He went nuts- kicking & screaming. We had to hold him down, so he could get a shot in his bottom. I am sure he could have been heard in Benton. Then as we were leaving, Avery realized that she didn't get a sticker & she started screaming to the top of her lungs. I don't think she shut up for over an hour, even when I gave her a million of them at home! YAY!!! The joys of motherhood. I am still very thankful that God allows me the opportunity to be at home with them every Friday, even when they are not happy campers!
One of the few smiles I got from Avery today.

Sick little man! I let him play
his DS way too long today....

Avery showing off her great "H".
Her most fav letter to write!
(Earlier this week)

This is the ONLY way that we can get Hudson to
write on the easel is to get him to "teach" Avery Claire.
He is showing her how to write their names!

Mudbug Hockey Game!

Daniel took Hudson to a Mudbug game on Saturday night at CenturyTel. Hudson has always loved hockey games! He had a so much fun eating pizza & watching the "boys fight". Lol. He hasn't put his hockey stick & puck down since Saturday. Avery decided at the last minute that she wanted to go, so I bribed her with brownies & a new Princess paint set to stay home. We had a fun girls night while they were gone.

Watching Clawed, the Mudbug Man

Before church on Sunday. Still not putting his stick down....

Had to post one of Avery too.
